My Baby’s First Year program is so very special to me! I am done having little ones of my own, so being able to photograph all the little milestones in my little clients is such an incredible joy for me. You have met my little princess Karsyn before on my blog and she has just had her first birthday! We celebrated in the studio for her last session: her first year portraits. She has such a beautiful, happy soul and she is already showcasing so much of her big personality! She giggled and laughed throughout the entire session and she loved her cake smash! There was cake, icing and yogurt everywhere and we had one happy little tummy by the end!
Karsyn, you have changed so much and yet so little since our first session so many months ago! I am so sad the first year is over… but hopefully I will have many more opportunities over the years to photograph you and watch as you grow into that big personality. Mom and Dad, keep up the great work! I adore your little family! <3
I have been waiting to photograph Chris for almost year and I am so excited we finally managed to get it on the schedule! Chris had an insanely busy Senior year and he killed it on the Cox High School football team. I even got to go out for a few games and I have to say, I feel so much pride seeing my Seniors excel in what they do! Next year, Chris is heading off to East Carolina University and I couldn’t be more proud of him!
For our session, we headed to what Virginia Beach is known for… the beach! We started off in the trees and Chris rocked his pride for his upcoming college days! Mom, Donna, and dad, Matt, stuck around for a few pictures as well, rocking their pirate gear too. 🙂 We then moved down to the beach and had an incredible time. As always, Virginia Beach provided and incredible sunset and Chris pulled out his inner model and we created some incredible images.
Chris, enjoy your last few weeks of high school. Enjoy your next four years of college (but not too much- you still have to go to classes!) Never give up chasing your dreams and occasionally take time to look back at these images and remember who you were, what you wanted in life, how you saw your future, etc. You are officially an adult now- but you still have so much life left to live and lessons to learn. I have confidence you’ll do an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what your future holds. Thanks for trusting me with your Senior Portraits. I have so enjoyed getting to know you this past year! 🙂
Meet, Carla… fifty and FABULOUS! Carla contacted me and wanted to celebrate turning fifty with a photoshoot and I thought that was an amazing idea! We had such a great time at Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach. Carla brought along her handsome husband, Tyrone, and we captured some amazing portraits of their love. One of my VERY favorite things to photograph is couples still in love after so many years together.
Carla, I hope when I turn 50 I am as proud and confident in myself and my age as you are! You rocked your session and you rock your age! It was an honor photographing you and Tyrone. You were both incredible to work with and and I can’t wait to get the whole family captured someday!
I love my job and I adore meeting the amazing, talented young people of Virginia Beach. Rayna is such an amazing young lady, super talented , sweet, caring, kind, funny and GORGEOUS! It was simply an honor to photograph her and she rocked her session. Her very early, very chilly session! We were up and shooting around 6:00 am and it was pretty windy and chilly, but you cannot tell in her pictures cause she is a rock star!
Thanks Rayna for trusting me again with your portraits. I loved spending more time with you and hearing about all your future plans! I am glad you won’t be far and know ODU is blessed to have you as a freshman next year!
Declan was one of my very favorite little people to photograph this past year! A little cranky during his three month shoot, but every other shoot he was giggling and happy and such a JOY to photograph!
His one year portraits were no different! He laughed and clapped and danced… and THEN we brought out his cupcake! He LOVED throwing it, sitting on it, putting it in his hair and of course, eating it. He cried when we had to clean him up and was trying to eat every little last bit before we wiped it off!
Declan, you were a JOY to photograph and I am so sad to see your First Year end! I can’t wait to see you grow and hope you always keep your happy disposition!
I adore these sisters! I have known then for years and they both run their own successful businesses. Recently, they both decided they needed a more professional look in presenting themselves through their business so we booked a portrait session to create some amazing new professional headshots.
Winnie works at The Christian Broadcasting network but also sells Thirty-one Gifts. I think her portraits perfectly display her fun and happy personality. She is so much fun to work with and truly is passionate about her job. If you haven’t heard of 31 before, check them out. Click here to check out her site! I have some GREAT organization office items from her and can’t wait to order some new jewelry from her new line!
Maggie also works at CBN but she is a Pampered Chef consultant as well! I think her portraits display her joy so well. She is always wearing a smile and is the best cook I know! She is so passionate about food and using great tools in the kitchen to make food prep fun and easy! I cannot WAIT to take her Freezer Meals workshop where you join her to create a weeks worth of meals in just one sitting! Check out her site here.
If you need to present a better you for your business, contact me today for your own portrait session. For the next month, I am offering headshots for only $99 per session! That includes your session and two digital images for you to use towards promoting your business online, on business cards, on Facebook etc! The proceeds from these sessions will go towards my September trip to Ethiopia where I will be photographing and participating in a missions trip. Contact me today if you want to book your own session!
Kenny is on my son Logan’s wrestling team. Like Logan, this year was his first year wrestling.. AND like Logan he had an undefeated season! He’s an awesome young man and I was very happy my son chose him to look up too.
We captured the end of his amazing season with some wrestling portraits. Let’s just say, he killed it! He could go into modeling if he choose, completely at ease in front of my camera! Those eyes! 😉
Congratulations on an amazing season Kenny! Proud of your hard work and the great man you are becoming… both on and off the mat!
If you have a young lady or man involved in sports and would love some unique different portraits, contact me today!
Sometimes my clients make me feel old! I have known Kennedi for about 6 years have watched her go from middle school, to high school, to graduation. Watching her blossom as a young woman and now MOM is such a blessing for me. I was honored and so blessed to photograph her perfect little Angel, Ellianna. Oh my goodness, is she adorable. (Luckily, she also goes to church with me so I can steal her from mom for a few songs and score some snuggle time!)
Ellianna was about four weeks old in these portraits, but in many of them, she looks so much older! She has such an old soul and looking into those perfect brown eyes I feel like she is telling me a story I should never forget!
Thanks Kennedi for sharing your princess with me. I can’t wait to photograph both of you in the future!
We live at the beach… we are not made for snow!!! I grew up in Michigan and Ohio so I grew up with LOTS of snow, but I moved away from it! When it does snow, I spend most of those days inside huddled by the fireplace! BUT even I have to admit, pictures in the snow can be amazing!
I have photographed Audre and Chloe in the past, and I loved being able to add Justin and Emory to the mix for our snowey photoshoot! These guys are so much fun and the girls were simply adorable! They were the perfect Frozen Princesses!
Justin and Audre are celebrating a year together and what a better way than some amazing memories in the snow? I LOVED capturing these shots of this wonderful pair and hope they will cherish them forever! Thanks you guys for braving the snow and trusting me to capture your love.
I haven’t seen Aiden for about six months and I was so surprised at how big he has gotten! I loved all his little faces and his adorable toothey smile! He brought along grandpa’s hat and we were able to get a few pictures of him wearing it, but he enjoyed taking it off and throwing it more than wearing it! I loved all the great snuggles and smiles we got with mom and dad and grandma too! 🙂
I love seeing you grow Aiden. Can’t wait to celebrate the big ONE with you in a few months!
