TECHNICALLY Little Johnny was born in 2014 but we didn’t photograph him until the new year, so he’s my first newborn in the new year making him my New Years Baby!!! Little Johnny (or JB3 as he is Johnny the third!) was about a month old when we did his portraits, as the fuss and bustle of the holidays didn’t allow us to do them sooner. He was a perfect gentleman and I had such a wonderful time photographing him for my longtime clients Jennifer and Johnny. I so love seeing my families grow and expand! Little Johnny has long been prayed for and I am honored and blessed to be a part of his life! Big sister Cheyenne is so in love and is already an amazing big sister!
Jennifer, you are doing a great job! Thanks for allowing me to be his first babysitter! 🙂
Enjoy the cuteness!

Declan is such a powerful little name, I feel it sounds right to call him Mr. Declan. 🙂
I just have LOVED seeing this family grow over the years! I was so blessed to photograph Pamela’s Bridal portraits a few years and then have gotten to do some family portraits over the years as well. Now, adding little Declan to the mix is just a blessing. It is why I do what I do: capturing the amazing moments in your life with amazing portraits you will treasure forever! It is such a blessing for me to not only capture them, but to capture this big moment…and then be there for the next one too. I LOVE when my clients keep returning to me…it truly makes my heart swell!!!
Back to Mr. Declan… This little dark-haired beauty did amazingly during our shoot. He slept awhile, then calmly opened his eyes and looked right into the camera. His big sister is a pretty amazing young lady with some modeling potential, so I think she taught him some tips! I loved his session so much and hope you will enjoy it too.

I was SO excited to meet Baby Jack. Mommy and Daddy and big brother are practically family as we adopted their dog, Dunkin, a few years back. I have photographed their wedding and family portraits over the years and was SO excited to get my hands on Baby Jack. He was a trooper during our shoot and big brother, Jace, was such a rockstar!! Jace did great during our sibling shots and then, he gave us a whole 2 hours of quiet playing in the other room without disturbing us while we did Jack’s portraits!
Jack is such a handsome and tiny little guy. I loved his sweet disposition and his easy relaxed state… hoping he stays that way for a while for his mama!!! Enjoy some of our favorite images from his newborn shoot!

The goal of my business is to establish lifelong relationships… I love photographing my clients time and time again. So when you announce you are pregnant, graduating, engaged or celebrating some other big milestone… I PRAY you call me again to help document it!
When I photographed Maria and Joseph’s family at the beginning of their pregnancy, I HOPED they would call for their newborn portraits when baby Alexander came. Most of my families book their newborn portraits BEFORE the baby arrives… but they hadn’t. (With two doctors in the family, a pregnancy and two children… I can just image how busy they were!!) Well- 2 days after Alex was born, they called and said this… “Devon we want to book you for Alexander’s portraits. The hospital photographer just came in to try to take his picture and we said “If anyone is going to photograph him, it will be Devon.”
Oh, be still my heart!!! That just made my WEEK! It got even better when they booked a Baby’s First Year Plan so I get to continue photographing him throughout the whole next year!
THEN I got to photograph him and boy, what a cutie patootie!!! He was such a champ and let me finally capture the elusive “head in hands” pose that I have been wanting to do! (The baby needs to be completely asleep and willing to be posed for this shot!) I had such an amazing time with Alex and am so looking forward to capturing the next year watching him grow into the amazing little boy he was created to be!

I was so blessed a few months back, when out of the blue I got a message from my friend Tricia saying she was pregnant! I had no idea and was so excited about her becoming a mommy!!! I was honored to photograph Tricia for her maternity portraits and while it was freezing and windy, we captured some amazing portraits of her lovingly waiting on her little man!!
In January, we got to meet little Elijah for the first time! Oh my goodness, did he steal my heart at his newborn session!!! He is so adorable and I loved getting to know him. Can’t wait to see him grow up! Great job, Tricia… you did good! <3 <3 <3

Here we are- already a 10 DAYS into the new year. It sure is moving fast isn’t it? I am so excited about this year but have SO much I need to have done yesterday!! Just a few things on the “To Do” list…
1. Helping my clients celebrate their birthdays with a special “Beautiful You” Birthday shoot each month!! Working on getting all the details and information now!
2. February is just around the corner… which means Valentine’s day!!! Scheduling Boudoir shoots, couple mini session and possibly even a children’s mini session too! So much LOVE to plan for… calendar get ready!
3. Paperwork, taxes and filing… yeah- i think it’s kinda boring too. But necessary to stay in business!
4. Lots of great marketing ideas for my Renew Shoots and my High School Seniors! So many ideas, so little time!!
5. New newsletters this year! I can’t wait to share them with you each month! They will be going out mid-month each month. If you weren’t getting them last year, they may have been going to spam… or you aren’t on my e-mail list! Just send me a message and I will get you on there!
6. Creating and perfecting my Baby’s First Year Plan. Capturing your baby from maternity to his/her first year is one of the things I love to do the most! I have a few little ones from last year about to celebrate their first birthdays and I have LOVED celebrating (and capturing) their milestones with them! I can’t wait for a whole new year of babies to photograph!
7. Classes, workshops, seminars! I am getting my calendar ready now for the next six months of classes, workshops and seminars that I will be attending and that I will be hosting! Can’t wait to learn and share!
8. Training new assistants! I am so blessed to have some great people helping me with all that comes with owning your own business!
As I work to get all of the above done, I am still making time to take, edit and share all your amazing images! I LOVE getting to capture all of your special moments and share in your joy! Here is a perfect little reminder of why I do what I do! Welcome Baby Brecken, the newest member of our photography family!
